InDesign Saves Production Time

Designing a catalog, booklet or brochure may appear to be extremely time consuming.  A tool such as InDesign can save valuable production time.  The beauty of InDesign is that it allows the designer to automate the design process, while at the same time its features allow the designer to modify text and images, creating unique and creative marketing documents.  This tool allows you to design, pre-flight and publish professional catalogs and more.

Tools offered by CS5 Favorites make it even easier to use.  When creating a new page, the latest version allows you to change the size and layout orientation of an existing, already designed page easily.  “Span 2″ allows you to span a heading over 2 columns, eliminating the steps originally taken to create the same appearance.  Splitting text from one column to two columns is just as easy.

If you would like to include copy from another InDesign document, the “Mini Bridge” tool allows you to easily share file information. The new “Gap” tool allows you to quickly and easily adjust and re-size the gaps between the frames.

The corner effects of each frame can be formatted in a snap.  So take a second and add a little more interest to your design by creating stylized frames for each graphic element.

You can now create interactive documents using InDesign CS5.  No coding required!  Think outside the box.  Add an electronic version of your catalog to the marketing mix.  Animation, roll-over, slide show, sound and flash video can now be created using InDesign CS5.
