Post Card Tips

We recommend using standard options for your post card print including stock, colors and size and then use graphic design and marketing to make your piece stand out! Graphics and taglines can make your post card print memorable! Whether you are using your post cards for personal use or business, clear fonts and large graphics will still help you to create a successful postcard.

Post Card Color

Three main color printing options are available for your post cards. Full color printing with color on both sides is our most popular option because it allows all colors to be used and works well if your postcard has images or copy that needs to stand out on both sides of your postcard. A full color front with black text of the back and a full color front with a blank back are also available. Use our live chat system to ask color questions.

Post card stock

We offer a standard 14 point cardstock that is UV coated on the front side in our quick quote. This is a high quality stock that mails well. The UV coating protects the post card and creates a high quality look. Custom stocks and aqueous coating are available.

Post card size

We offer many standard size options in our quick quote form for you to choose from. We offer 4 X 6, 4.25 X 6, 6 X 9 and 6 X 11 sizes for you to choose from! 4.25 X 6 is the largest size accepted at first class postcard rate.

Post card design

At Print Lion you can create your own post card or work with our design team to create something together that will be effective. If you are creating your own post card for print, use our free templates that come in all of our standard post card sizes. These templates outline our bleed lines, safety lines and trim lines. You can check our print ready checklist before uploading your files online for print.

Post Card Marketing

Being a full service communications company, we offer marketing services for your post card order as well! Work with our marketing team to create a message that sells for your post cards. We are a printing company directly marketing for you.

Post Card Printing

We offer two main types of printing for your post card orders. Orders of 500 or less cards will be printed digitally and orders of more than 500 will be printed on a sheet-fed offset printing press. Both types of printing offer high quality post cards.

Post Card Specialty Services

We not only offer card printing, but we offer many post-press services to make your post card orders special. Laminating, foil stamping, hole drilling and die-cutting are available for your post cards. If you are die-cutting your post cards, please sure to check with the post office to make sure that it does not cost too much to mail your custom, die-cut post cards. Post Card Mailing Services

Post cards can be mailed from Print Lion! Your post cards can come off the press, go to the cutting machines and then directly to our mailing machines with no lag time! We turnaround direct mail orders quickly! You can send us your mailing list or you can order a new mailing list to reach a new audience.

Post Card Shipping

If your post card is not being mailed, you can choose an appropriate shipping method. If you place your order in advance, UPS ground shipping is available at an affordable rate. If you need your order sooner, we offer overnight and two day air shipping. Blind shipping is available if you would like to save time and have your order delivered directly to your customers.

If you are interested in post cards, then you may also be interested in business cards and sell sheets. A business card and sell sheet can be passed out in your store as a follow up to your post card. Newsletters and brochures can be mailed throughout the year to let customers know what is new at your business.
