Color postcard tips

When designing color postcards make sure to use the back of the postcard just as thoughtfully as the front. The postcards back is in fact more important because the recipient generally first checks to see to whom the postcard is addressed to. This makes the back panel prime space for special offers and benefits. Also, add your website, address and phone number on the postcard, so that customers have several ways to get in touch with you.

Postcard printing

For orders of 500 or less we will print your postcards digitally. For orders of over 500, they will be printed on sheetfed offset print presses. Both types of printing offer high quality printed pieces.

Postcard color

We offer several postcard ink choices. Full color printing allows both sides to be printed in color.  This options helps postcards stand out even more. You can also order full color on the front and have black text on the back. The third choice is to offer a full color front with a blank back. Remember that our online PDF proofs are not color accurate, so if color accuracy is important to you please order a hard copy proof with your order.

Postcard stock

Our standard postcard stock is a 14 point card stock with a UV coating on one side. We offer all different custom stocks. You can get an estimate for a lighter or heavier stock by filling out a custom quote form.

Postcard size

Four standard postcard sizes are available at Print Lion. Standard sizes are; 4 X 6, 4.25 X 6, 6 X 9 and 6 X 11.  The most popular size option is 4.24 X 6 as it is the largest size approved by the post master to mail first class at a postcard rate. Die-cutting is also available to make your postcard stand out; however make sure to check with the post master to see if it can mail before placing the order. If you need a special size, please fill out a custom quote form to obtain an estimate.

Postcard design

You can design your own postcards or use our talented graphic design team to help you reach you audience.
