Personalized picture postcard tips

When creating personalized picture postcards make sure that your images are of a high resolution. On a computer, your photo cards make look fine, but for print they may come out blurry.

Postcard colors

There are three ink options available for color postcard printing. Full color on the front and back is the most popular option as it gives endless color choices and brings photo postcards to life! A full color front with black text on the back and full color front with a blank back are also available.

Postcard stock

14 point card stock with UV coating on the front side is offered as our standard stock.  This is a high quality stock perfect for photo postcards! Custom stocks are available in both heavier and light card stocks. Custom stocks are available.  Simply fill out the custom quote form.

Postcard size

We offer 4 X 6, 4.25 X 6, 6 X 9 and 6 X 11 as our standard options in our quick quote. If you need a custom size, fill out a custom quote form to receive an estimate. If you plan on mailing your postcard, a 4.25 X 6 is the largest size approved first class postage rates.

Postcard design

You can design your own personalized picture postcards or work with our graphic design team to create something special for your occasion. When designing a postcard, make sure to check out our free postcard templates to save time on design. Postcard printing

Two types of printing are available at Print Lion.  They are digital and sheet fed offset. The type of printing depends on the quantity of postcards being ordered. For postcard orders of 500 or less they will be printed digitally and for orders of 500 or more a sheet-fed offset press will be used.

Postcard mailing

If you are mailing your postcards, consider using our in house mailing services. We save your time and money! No longer do you have to send your postcards from the printer to your mail house. We are your one stop shop for postcards. You can send us your current mailing list or speak with one of our representatives about ordering a new mailing list. Move update service is available to make sure that your postcards have a high deliverable rate.

Postcard shipping

If you are not using your postcards as a mailer, then we offer several types of shipping for your convenience. If you place your order in advance we can ship your postcards by UPS ground, which is the most affordable rate. If you need your postcards sooner use our overnight or two day air shipping. Lastly, blind shipping is available if you need your postcards mailed directly to your customers without them knowing that it came from us. Shrink wrapping in packets of 50 is available for orders that need to be carefully counted.
